A freshman friend of mine who I met this semester recently revealed to me that she had had cancer as a child and is trying to come out to her mormon mother. Another gay friend grew up in the town where the KKK was founded and has finally come to a place where she has learned self-respect. A third friend has autism (and has advised Obama on disability advocacy from the inside out--she's such a badass), but she recently told me that when she transitioned to Vassar she had to make a flowchart for herself every morning so that she remembered what her new routine was. So much melancholy, but so much love. tropicalpenguin18https://www.blogger.com/profile/11800176995322015524noreply@blogger.com
