A mother's journey through the anguish, grief, joy and triumph of raising a chronically ill, disabled, extraordinary child, and how he helps shape her views of the world.
These are such beautiful photos! Wish I had such talented photographers to document my epilepsy experience! The one above the clearly-EEG photo is also in one of the EEG rooms, right? Ellison 18? I recognize the bottom of the ship window wall paper haha. The amount of time I have spent in that room is a little bit appalling--21 days total during my freshman year of college before my surgery and quite a few before that. I've been there on Thanksgiving, through blizzards (Dr. Thiele snowshoed in to work from the T), when a child was rushed in with malaria. I wrote two final essays in that room and skyped into a final violin concert. It's all gone down in that room. Thanks again for the photos--they're SO powerful!~Julianna
